The music must be regarded as one of the first elements of education and its loss or its corruption is the surest mark of the decline of the empire. Confucius (c. 551-479 BC)
I am teaching at The Royal Academy of Music. This blog is dedicated to my students. It is a collection of videos and recordings with great inspiring artists. My hope is that you find listening to these as interesting as I do and that it will give some of you the inspiration to follow your dreams as well. Your comments are welcomed! Thank you for visiting!

I knew and studied with CK from 1989 to the end. This summer we're publishing 'Corresponding With Carlos: A Biography of Carlos Kleiber'. It will include many of the 200 or so letters, faxes, postcards, cartoons, musical examples he sent over the years -- plus about 40 he sent to Sir Peter Jonas.
Those who imagine they understand this unmatched genius of music may be surprised. He had an internal, private eloquence that transcended even his public. His jokes about this Beet 7? Not to be believed.
